OUR STORY

In 2014 the Bogue Chitto Dutch Oven Cookers was established as the local chapter for the Louisiana Dutch Oven Society. 

​

The Louisiana Dutch Oven Society Mission:

​

• To promote the opportunity for all Dutch oven cookers to gather and better their skills through friendly Dutch Oven Gatherings (DOGs).

​

• To promote the art of Dutch oven cooking through demonstrations and local DOGs.

​

• To engage in charitable, literary, social, educational, and other activities that promote the art of Dutch oven cooking.

Our monthly gatherings are held on the 2nd Saturday of every month at Bogue Chitto State Park.

We start cooking demonstrations at 9 AM and the tasting commences at noon.
